Irish Friendly Falls Through Thursday, 15th Jul 2010 19:05 by TWTD.co.uk Town’s planned friendly in Ireland has fallen through. As reported on Tuesday, the Blues were trying to arrange a game against League of Ireland opposition for the middle of next week, but no match could be organised. The club had hoped to play three friendlies as part of a Dutch tour, but in the end were only able to arrange Saturday’s game at PSV, a fixture against 1981 UEFA Cup final opponents AZ Alkmaar was amongst those targeted. The friendly in Ireland was to replace those proposed matches. Town are now looking to organise an alternative game nearer to home in the days after Saturday’s PSV match.
