The 91/92 game attracted just over 8000, again nowhere near a "sell out"

The ground was still configured pretty much the same way* as when we had 13000 v Halifax in 68/69, which is the highest normal league attendance in living memory - and whilst it was "cosy" the ground wasn't full

*The only difference being the new main stand, I think, which wouldn't have made much difference to overall capacity

Edit: just to add, if it's a sell out at Pompey I think it will be the first league game Dale have been involved in for this to happen

Edit#2: thinking back through away fixtures, the nearest to full capacity might be the game against Brighton in the 70s when they had 26000 at their final fixture, for promotion (if memory serves.) In those days, there was no segregation for away fans

For away games I presume we are assuming that we sell out our allocation. One possibility might be the away game at Darlo in about 1991 when they won the title, but I don't suppose we sold out the away end. I think the crowd was over 9,000 which must have been more or less the capacity of Feethams.
