The paradox for me is, although when the speakers are working in the Sandy the music level is deafening, I can't seem to make what the announcer is saying when he reads out halftime scores or substitutions.

Had an email back from Gina today who tells me that the speakers have been turned down prior to the Gillingham game to more acceptable levels..i wasn't at the game..can anyone confirm that the levels were bearable again?

They were turned down completely in the Sandy then! Not working at all. Were they working fine everywhere else? Presumably they are aware of the issue via stewards and the Stadium Manager will be onto it as there will requirements around any safety announcements needing to be heard.
Interesting if it was said they've been "turned down", it really always was that simple.

Before the game and in the first half on Saturday it was VERY LOUD.
At half-time and during the second half, it was more muted to the point you could hardly hear it.
When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?
