How did you get on in Clitheroe, James?

Turned out the place I was staying was between Clitheroe and Waddington. In the dark it was safer to walk into Waddington than Clitheroe. I plan to return though. I am now in Hexham for a couple of nights

Shame you missed out on Holmes Mill in Clitheroe (Bowland Brewery), it’s got one of the largest bars I’ve seen & has a huge choice of good beers. If you’re passing that way again it’s a must!

I stayed at Waddow Hall the walk there was a bit hairy in the dark, especially when the pavement disappeared and the road narrowed.

Our Y9 students go camping there for a week every July. Nice place.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Yes, you were on the wrong side of the river. You might have to splash a bit more cash to stay more central

My kids raved about staying there with their school too. Sounds like you’ve had a good time, James, and got to some good places. Now, if only a Spotland trip can guarantee a successful end to the week...

Considering the taxi from Waddington back to Waddow and then to the station doubt I saved a great deal.
It is however in a fantastic setting and I bet the nippers have a whale of a time there partaking in the activities.

I am now in Hexham if anyone has any knows of anywhere worth a visit let me know please.

My mate had a dog called Cassie.

"Why is it called Cassie?"

"Cos we live in Castleton, so shortened Castleton to Cassie."

"Lucky you don't live in Clitheroe then!"

"......."

Poll: What is it to be then?
