I feel there is positivity in the camp, weirdly I think Field going may phase the team. However if its the same team line up and if Vale and Madsen are on fire. We'll be the Orgasm Addicks not them Charlton Diuretic 0 QPR 3 Kone, Dunne and Vale [Post edited 4 Feb 3:19]

Mr Elbow is on real form tonight, ignore him.

Agree although Dykes did well to clear a shot off the line from us. (Sorry for the downvote fat fingers)

| Don't be Addicks - Charlton Athletic vs QPR Match Thread on 22:36 - Feb 6 by Northernr | That was the moment where I was glad I wasn't there. 90+ minutes, free kick, dead central, 35 yards out, and we played it backwards and sideways into the right back spot. That would have been chair out of the moorings stuff. And I'd have done so well to that point as well. |
There really isn’t any defending that nonsense . We were totally on top with an opponent wilting . It showed a lack of bravery really

TBF I think he's been pretty respectful and engaging. I'm serious about a line in the sand, all this sniping and back biting is going to stop. Be nice to each other.

Charlton are poor though. As are Oxford. It's not a controversial point of view. Between them they've won six of their last 36 Championship games.

Hey, I very very rarely snipe at anyone but the comments on Kone and Julien are beyond ridiculous. In my opinion.

| Don't be Addicks - Charlton Athletic vs QPR Match Thread on 22:49 - Feb 6 by stainrods_elbow | We only got to 0-0 at half-time thanks to Walsh literally saving us on two or three occasions, and Charlton/Dykes being so inept. No offence, but your support for that set-up can get in the sea as far as I'm concerned. Mind you, I'm sure the manager would give you (French) kisses. |
Well I really won’t take too much notice of your opinions on set ups, performances, head coaches or players as the evidence on here is that you haven’t got a scooby. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Yeah we could have done more but it wasn’t an easy game, was very physical and think a point isn’t the end of the world. Problem was that the midfield was too deep and we went long too quickly but overall this season is definitely a step in the right direction. Some saying they want JS out, that is crazy talk in my opinion!

| Don't be Addicks - Charlton Athletic vs QPR Match Thread on 22:43 - Feb 6 by JohnBurkeQPR | Worth stating that Charlton have only lost four games at home this season (less than us) and tonight was only the second time they have not scored at home, with the last time coming in August. |
Misleading/selective stats. They're 17th in the home form table; we're 8th. We've also scored twice as many goals as them at home (only the top two have outscored us), and won two more games. In other news, only 4 teams have scored fewer goals than us away from home. To me, that points emphatically to a diametrically opposed approach in each case (though your eyes should tell you all you need to know), which JS needs to be challenged on. Right now, we have a recipe for mediocrity at best. [Post edited 7 Feb 0:14]

| Don't be Addicks - Charlton Athletic vs QPR Match Thread on 23:02 - Feb 6 with 1572 views | CornieRanger | I'm surprised by the negativity as I didn't think we were THAT bad but maybe I have low standards after too many seasons of seven losses in a row. I'd much rather have us playing like prime Barcelona like everyone would but that's not realistic given what we have at our disposal. We aren't losing games that we would've done in the last three or four seasons and yeah we aren't winning and it's disappointing but there is progress there. We could've snatched a win at the end bur for dastardly Dykes on the line but thems the breaks sometimes. | | | |

| Don't be Addicks - Charlton Athletic vs QPR Match Thread on 23:05 - Feb 6 with 1486 views | ManinBlack | I have lost count but that must be no wins in our last seven visits to the Valley. We are poor at winning away in London derbies so I guess a small mercy we didn't lose. In truth we should have taken one of those stoppage time chances to win the game. We can say at least Dykes didn't score against us but he stopped us winning with the goal line clearance. | | | |

| Don't be Addicks - Charlton Athletic vs QPR Match Thread on 22:36 - Feb 6 by Spaghetti_Hoops | Thought JS too cautious away. So often the attacks just fizzle out. Credit to Charlton they worked v hard but it took its toll in the last 20 minutes, particularly the final 10 mins. When the opposition plays the game that way round this forum blame us for not attacking earlier. When the opposition play the game like Wrexham it’s we are not fit enough or mentally strong. Probably neither are true. It was a fair result. Walsh and Cook MoM. |
I think sometimes (not every time by any means) the players on the pitch simply have to be better . We can blame formations and fitness and subs and being cautious etc etc until the cows come home, none of which are incorrect at times . But sometimes the players put out on the pitch have to be stronger , retain possession better, have a better footballing know how and take more responsibility. Too many tonight and in the last 7 or 8 away games are just passengers . Sorry to single him out again this evening because I really like him, but Saito was so bad . He needs to stick his chest out not look like an 12 year old passenger …again. I truly hope the 5 ft 6 winger/ number 10 infatuation/ fetish is now dead in the water . We can’t keep carrying these players . Chair is not included. He is stocky , physically strong and most importantly, can protect the bloody football. Starting to think we should start throwing the others overboard gradually.
| Don't be Addicks - Charlton Athletic vs QPR Match Thread on 23:14 - Feb 6 with 1384 views | Wegerles_Stairs | Should have lost but for Walsh and their crap shooting. We need a discussion on how crap Saito has been since he came back. Awful again tonight. We looked so much better when Stephan finally put Kolli on. He's a class player, play him! | | | |
| Don't be Addicks - Charlton Athletic vs QPR Match Thread on 23:17 - Feb 6 with 1340 views | QPRJill | Walsh played a blinder tonight. Up front Kone did his best, but I can`t really understand why Smyth is being played on the left. Over to JS regarding that one... Note to self: A point away is ok. | | | |

Twenty five past eleven. Just finished watching. Was unavoidably detained earlier. Cant understand the stats saying we had 18 goal attempts !! Kind of decent considering seven or eight first team players unavailable. We draw away.We draw away. We draw away. i like kolli and bennie at the end.

| Don't be Addicks - Charlton Athletic vs QPR Match Thread on 23:30 - Feb 6 with 1219 views | kensalriser | The truth is we're actually in a slump. Since the Leicester game we've won two from the last nine, it's just not as dire as our usual slumps because we've drawn four of them. But it's still not great and we can't put together two good results in a row. | |

In 50+ years of watching football I have never worked out why there should be a difference to how you play away from home. One of the worlds greatest mysteries IMHO

Hate to say but I agree Saito was abysmal. He looks like a lost kid at the moment. Always a second behind the play and zero quality or threat on the ball. Something has gone very wrong there.
