Don’t know why it’s so negative on here tonight. Yeah we could have done more but it wasn’t an easy game, was very physical and think a point isn’t the end of the world.

Worth stating that Charlton have only lost four games at home this season (less than us) and tonight was only the second time they have not scored at home, with the last time coming in August. |
Misleading/selective stats. They're 17th in the home form table; we're 8th. We've also scored twice as many goals as them at home (only the top two have outscored us), and won two more games. In other news, only 4 teams have scored fewer goals than us away from home. To me, that points emphatically to a diametrically opposed approach in each case (though your eyes should tell you all you need to know), which JS needs to be challenged on. I'm surprised by the negativity as I didn't think we were THAT bad but maybe I have low standards after too many seasons of seven losses in a row.
I'd much rather have us playing like prime Barcelona like everyone would but that's not realistic given what we have at our disposal. We aren't losing games that we would've done in the last three or four seasons and yeah we aren't winning and it's disappointing but there is progress there.

I have lost count but that must be no wins in our last seven visits to the Valley. We are poor at winning away in London derbies so I guess a small mercy we didn't lose.

Thought JS too cautious away. So often the attacks just fizzle out.
Credit to Charlton they worked v hard but it took its toll in the last 20 minutes, particularly the final 10 mins. When the opposition plays the game that way round this forum blame us for not attacking earlier. When the opposition play the game like Wrexham it’s we are not fit enough or mentally strong. Probably neither are true.

I think sometimes (not every time by any means) the players on the pitch simply have to be better .
We can blame formations and fitness and subs and being cautious etc etc until the cows come home, none of which are incorrect at times .
But sometimes the players put out on the pitch have to be stronger , retain possession better, have a better footballing know how and take more responsibility.
Too many tonight and in the last 7 or 8 away games are just passengers .
Sorry to single him out again this evening because I really like him, but Saito was so bad .
He needs to stick his chest out not look like an 12 year old passenger …again.
I truly hope the 5 ft 6 winger/ number 10 infatuation/ fetish is now dead in the water .
We can’t keep carrying these players . Chair is not included. He is stocky , physically strong and most importantly, can protect the bloody football.

The truth is we're actually in a slump. Since the Leicester game we've won two from the last nine, it's just not as dire as our usual slumps because we've drawn four of them. But it's still not great and we can't put together two good results in a row. |  |

Hate to say but I agree Saito was abysmal.
He looks like a lost kid at the moment. Always a second behind the play and zero quality or threat on the ball. Something has gone very wrong there. |  |
