| Thomas Frank 11:54 - Feb 11 with 1766 views | DorsetIan | Just been sacked by Spurs. Let's assume that we can afford him and he's willing to come. Should we try to replace Tonda with him? All hypotheticals, but it focuses the mind in terms of how people now feel about Tonda. Personally, I'm all in with Tonda for now. (Spoiler alert: Imagine what Tonda could do at Spurs!...) | |

| Thomas Frank on 12:37 - Feb 11 with 1647 views | SaintNick | Tonda is the 2nd longest serving manager in the 6 we have had since Ralph, I think with 1.78 points per game he also have the best points per game ratio, he is proving that he is learning on the job and improving the squad In the run in to promotion Russell martin got 32 points from the last 19 League games, Eckert has 34 points from his 19 games in charge so far. He keeps up his points ratio we should make the play offs | |

Other brands are available. May I draw your attention to Falim...Turkey's premier sugar free Darnia Sakiz flavour. A mere £4 for a pack of 100 pieces.Recommended by all out of work Danish football managers.

One of the biggest things with Tonda I think, is that they trust him. He defended Archer last night in his interview after the game, (he doesn't change his opinion with the wind, after the event), he said the turnaround was down to the players and therefore the players trust him not to throw them under the bus. Will Still was far less "behind the players" in his interviews. I do think that the players trust Tonda and that's part of why he is getting more out of them and they respond to him.

No in Denmark we have V6 chewing gum. Recommend by dentists as an alternative to not cleaning your teeth.

As well as a Salmiak lakrids (ammonia flavored liquorice ) called Spunk. Danish food was awful. I left England at ten stone seven.. Two years later I was eight stone and something had to give. I came back to England and settled in Southampton.

| Thomas Frank on 22:42 - Feb 11 with 1165 views | 1885_SFC | There's a well known, popular bar in Copenhagen called The Spunk Bar. I know because I went there with mates many years ago when my ship paid a visit there. And no, the floor wasn't sticky despite the bars' name. Top 3 things I remember about Copenhagen: 1. The city itself was incredibly clean. None of the rubbish or litter you see over here everywhere. 2. Had my photo taken sitting on the famous mermaid statue by the waterfront. I always assumed it was much bigger than it actually was for some reason but it's quite small ! 3. Me and the lads bought & ate a horse burger each on route (drunk) walking back to the ship one night... and it was actually horse meat! | |

Another one on the way out. Their owner should never have got rid of Nuno. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/fo

They've usually been in the 2nd tier at the same time as us, which is why they're the team we've played the most games against in our history. Quite a rivalry developed between the 2 teams in the 30s and 40s, and even in the 60s and 70s it was still the biggest London rivalry game for us. I was part of the huge away following we took up there in 1966, in our first season in the top flight. I remember that 0-0 draw at the Dell which saw them promoted with us in 1978. I really wanted us to beat them that day. I don't know if it's still the same for younger fans, but if you'd asked any Saints fans in the 60s and 70s, which London team do you want to beat the most, it would have been Spurs. They didn't like us much either. More than 200 matches between the 2 clubs listed here, and there were earlier ones as well: https://www.11v11.com/teams/so I hope they go down too, but, as you say, it's unlikely. | Thomas Frank on 08:35 - Feb 13 with 669 views | jopreston | I wonder how long before a club like this does slip through the trap door and gets relegated. Surely one season someone of this ilk will have a terrible run of luck, misfortune and unrest enough to see them drop.
| Thomas Frank on 08:57 - Feb 13 with 656 views | sledger | there is zero chance of spurs being relegated there are plenty more rubbish sides, and even if they were they would probably dish out some point deductions to sides not in the cartel to save them, premier league corrupt as f+ck | | | |

Good for you.. Now you can have a pork pie for lunch and go to a real fish and chip shop and put loads of salt n vinegar on your chips. Yes Danish cuisine is awful. We don’t have Hp sauce at the table and you can’t get a fish finger sandwich. Glad that after 2 years you managed to escape your awful culinary nightmare . Still if you want to lose weight then Denmark is the place…..

Didn't have to swim out to the Little Mermaid statue. You only have to clamber over a few big rocks/stones as it's very close to the shoreline. It was the very late 70's when I was there - 1979 if I remember correctly. Horse meat was still eaten throughout the Scandinavian countries at the time although it was becoming less & less common. We were doing cold water sea trials in the Arctic Circle (-20°) with visits to Copenhagen in Denmark & Stavanger in Norway. Me and a few mates even got the hydrofoil to Malmo in Sweden for a day out from Copenhagen! As I say, always remember Copenhagen as a beautiful, clean city (no litter) but it was expensive both there & Norway even back then. A coach load of us also spent the day at the Carlsberg brewery where, after a tour of the brewery itself, we were generously treated to free samples of Carlsberg's various lagers afterwards.

| Thomas Frank on 18:02 - Feb 13 with 453 views | HytheFerrytales | Around 1984 a colleague and I found ourselves on a business trip to Burkina Faso. Our local rep took us for dinner in the "best restaurant" in Ouagadougou the capital city. The Menu was not extensive being lamb sweetbreads (pancreas) or tripe. The waiter told us there was a special on that night..horse steak. We chose the horse to reduce the chances of violent food poisoning from 100% down closer to 85%. We asked ( via the rep ) whether we were eating Shergar ( the rep gave him the background) The waiter said something to us in the local dialect. When we asked the rep to translate he said it was virtually impossible to give a literal meaning but that the closest thing to it in English slang would be "In- bred W*nkers" The steak was surprisingly pleasant. | | | |
