I think a lot of stuff gets done without McNulty having any say there. I find it very hard to believe he didn’t want Lillis to go there but they appointed their former goalkeeper as head of goalkeeping, which is probably for sentimental reasons more than anything. Stockport’s admin on X blocked me when I suggested McNulty may have been undermined already with that decision. |  |

I was sceptical as to how he would do at Stockport but i now think he will do very well. He has inherited a very good squad of players and added to it over the Summer. Players with more physicality, pace and skill than he had at Rochdale. He will know that there was aspects of his management that needed improving and he will have the players now to implement a more fluid style, quicker in thought and deed. If he can recreate that amazing 'never say die' spirit that he had at the Dale then that could be the missing ingrediant and we know how far that can take you. |  | | |

I don't disagree, commenting more on those who might feel inclined to feel sorry for him in some kind of way. He might well benefit from a DOF since he's still learning and the same was suggested when he was at Dale, before he recruited Done/Taylor

No, i completely agree with you. McNulty, Taylor and Done all decided not to fulfill their contracts and jumped ship after we had just won promotion. They left us scrambling around over the Summer and destabilised the club. They wont find better employers than the Ogden family and they do have ambition for another promotion. They had job stabilty. It doesn't bother me whether they succeed or fail at Stockport, they made their choice. | | | |
