he played in a 5 man midfield and scored 3, worral was our best player before injury so will step into jones place, coke may not get straight in as carrington, sweens and schuey look good,bish not big or quick enough to be the lone striker for me but hes bagged a few.how long you got the west ham keeper for, any good? | |

Amankwaah has played at right back for Swindon and Burton recently, if he did sign I don't think it would look good for Darby.
The more I think about it, the more confident I am that its Amankwaah. Darby started off well, but his performances have been in decline for a while now. The right back spot is often targeted by opposing teams, either from aerial bombardment or by pace, so that should tell us something isn't quite right. From what I remember Amankwaah is pretty quick and above 6', so on paper it goes some way to addressing the issues highlighted.
Just looked at Amankwaah profile on the Swindon OS, ironically he lost his place in the team to Darby after getting injured! He's labelled as a right back on Burton's OS. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Released by Yeovil town and he was also the one sent off against us at Spotland last month in Eyreheads last game in charge. Based on what I saw in that game I don't think he would offer anything better than what we have.
