Said the performance was an end of season one and it left a bitter taste in the mouth.

Will try and forget about it but one or two players reverted back to type. Players have got to be more consistent long term.

"Plenty of players will be in the ride" for next season. Difficult being a player in this situation at the end of the season as they are out of contract, he understand it as it is their livelihood. At this standard of football it isn't a great living at this standard of football as its not a long career.

Reece Gray done a lot of hiding and a lot of seeking, more hiding. Pre season is crucial to see if he's the real deal.

And Johnson at Torquay circa 1997

So we've had a few down the years then.

Monno and Dawson are the pick though and were equally as deadly I would say.

And Bramhall is up there with them. Top scorer as a defender in 86-87? Pretty much all from corners. About 12 from memory.

He was actually as good at losing his marker as Dawson was. When everyone rightly points to Lyndon Simmonds as the catalyst that kept us up that season, without Bramhall we'd have had no chance.

Paul Butler and Gareth Griffiths (only centre half to get hat trick?). Griffs towering header v Coventry will live long in the memory.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10
