Bet he dived over the candles and claimed a penalty.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

To be fair that Fish Tank did dive in. It was a very good tackle, but when you challenge like that you've giving the Referee the chance to make a decision.

[Welephant Mode] On a serious note. That's a very lucky break for them and a reminder to how the tiniest things can cause these things. [/Welephant Mode]

"Mr and Mrs Whitehall of Mossdale Close often had candles burning around the home."

I would soon get bored with that. Same old thing, wick in wick out.

Why was Crews manager there? Shouldn't he be more concerned about relegation than Whiteys strange candle fetish?

They used to wax lyrically about him in his playing days.

What's Danny Whitehall doing football-wise these days? Pity he didn't reproduce his dad's career at Dale.

Thanks for the update - odd that some sons have it less, others (Michael Owen) have it more and in some cases the jury's still out (Harry Bunn).
