Was talking to my Burnley supporting mate the other day. He seems to think they'll go all out to sign Dawson this season but he's worried that he'll use them to get a new improved deal at West Brom. I thought he'd signed a new deal in January but he didn't think it ever went through so he could be going into his last season under contract, so may need to cash in. Just had a quick google and there's talk of it being offered but nothing about it being signed....
Someone else mentioned the other day on here about his desire to play at CB which could be a factor too, as well as it being close to home.

He signed a 1 year extension at the beginning of 2016 taking him up to summer 2018. Supposedly terms have been agreed on a new deal and he's expected to sign this week when pre-season training starts. Burnley's interest and Pulis's public search for a new CB to partner Jonny Evans may hopefully scupper this. Really feel Dawson needs to be given a chance at CB now. | | | |
