Suspected he would be leaving and wouldn't be surprised had we gone in for him. The problem is he was chalk and cheese in his 2 seasons at LB for us. If you're a new manager who wants to build from the back, Bunney can't guarantee you that, however get him playing well and there aren't many better wing backs in the league.

Was a very odd signing by Northampton in the first place, as Buchanan had probably been their best player last season when they signed Bunney.

Did nothing for the Cobblers after first game or so......did he feature again?

Thank goodness we gave the lad a swerve.

Very harsh. Bunney was a good player at Dale who struggled during this campaign, but he wasn’t the only one. Was he any great loss when he went? No. But he was one of the vital components during the best run of form we’ve had in the last two years and his injury was one of the main reasons we didn’t make the top six in 16/17.

How exactly did we give the lad a swerve?

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Been told to hop it as he.

My all time favourite Dale player Mr Lyndon Symmonds

I suspect that from the way that Gary Bowyer talks about Bunney that he has been on the phone to Hilly for a reference for the player. They go back a long way.
It might have been hard for Bunney as well going into that dressing room at Northampton.
It was indeed a strange move in some ways.
Long commute down there if he didn't move from his new house.
He's the chance of a new start now.
Good luck to him apart from when they play us.
