That Huddersfield game was indeed a strange day to choose the tactics he did. It worked I suppose, but O'Brien and Kennedy at full back raised eyebrows before kick off. Said it elsewhere, the situation was sad and seemingly avoidable.

Luxury player.
Anyone who thought he was has been proven wrong by this recent string of games. And now he's been given more of a fluid role rather than being stood out wide, he'll cause even more problems.

Mellis, Paddy and Cywka, with Etuhu and Perks behind is something Fltcroft might have done last season. This season, he shat himself. Bizarre.
Interesting thing though, is what happens when Pedersen and COGba return shortly? Do we drop Tudgay who was key last night up top by himself? Do we drop a flair player (Cywka?) and play both Peds and COG?
Good problem to have.
You know me 442, I've said all along he had the players at his disposal (not so much at left back, mind) but it's using them positively that counts. Seeing Mellis left wing all season has been soul destroying. Jim O'Brien at right back? Dawson on the wing?
He'd lost it.
Hope he turns up at Bury. Comedy gold.

He'll still make a good manager if he learns from the mistakes. Would be interesting to hear exactly why he chose the sides he did this time around.
If Hill went tomorrow, he'd be the no.1 choice of many to return here.

You're right. He might still turn out to be a good manager. But in my 26 years following BFC I can't think of many who have gone on to do anything of note in their future endeavours, having been sacked by us.
Mark Robins left, not a real sacking as such. He's doing a decent job again. I like Mark.
Danny Wilson has done well at other clubs, but lower down the food chain. And he too wasn't sacked.
The rest?
Andy Ritchie, Simon Davey etc. One has a league one promotion on his CV, the other an FA Cup semi at Wembley. Where are they?
Maybe Flicker and Keith will buck that trend. I've got huge faith in Keith at least returning to manage at this level, hopefully with Dale. Flicker? I'll be interested to see his next move. I think he'd be a decent member of staff for the right club. Manager though? Not so sure.
Good luck to him though. Awesome first months in charge. Will eventually remember THAT period, and that period only. Just as I only remember Keith's good spells.

Wilson aside, are there any managers at BFC in living memory who could be considered be successful?
