Wow. My comment is based on the lad's football ability, not his previous battle with a horrific disease as a teenager. I'm not wishing him ill health FFS.

Jim McNulty is quite possibly the nicest man in the world, and he's got rid at the earliest opportunity. I agree with his decision.

I'm not surprised by any of that.

The likes of EEL, John & Rodney (and Hendo to an extent) will be offered significantly reduced terms. If they sign on those terms, great, but I can't see it. Rodney will defo get offers from a higher level. Maybe Hendo is the most likely to stay.

Glad to see Sinclair go. Delighted to be finally rid of Taylor.

EEL has had a decent season. I’m confident we’ll offer him a deal on vastly reduced terms, but I’m even more confident he’ll get a better offer elsewhere. The same applies to Cam John.

Offers to high earners are going to be nowhere near their current contracts. We have to get value. Hendo falls into that category too but I hope something can be done to keep him at the club, he has been underused this season. He’s shown he’s still got plenty to offer in those appearances he has made.

Investment update
at 20:58 22 Apr 2024

The email re pre-emption has gone out to shareholders this evening.

It can’t be stressed enough how important it is that no existing shareholders take up this offer. Do nothing, let the share issue happen, and allow the Ogden Family to complete the deal as soon as possible.

Fantastic news. Fantastic statement.

From the off, it gives confidence in the long term future of the club. Expectations have been set re budget and board room.

Quite possibly the best possible end to a season!

A genuine heartfelt thank you to EVERYBODY involved.

Dan Sassi Extends Loan Deal
at 16:05 26 Mar 2024

I think Sassi is OK. Not great, not rubbish, but OK. So long as we don't expect him to perform the Nevett role.

He's showed some dominance in the air against Maidenhead, which is something I'd like to see from Centre Half's in this league.

Max Taylor Departs On Loan
at 16:03 26 Mar 2024

Let's not dress this up, he's not very good. He's only here due to two bizarre contract extensions from Stockdale.

He's weak for a centre half and an accident waiting to happen with the ball at his feet. In all the game's he's played he's always looked like he had a mistake in him because he's never 'switched on'.

He's done his best work for us in the opposing area, popping up with a few goals.

That's the last we've seen of him and I'm thankful for that.

Keeper signs
at 10:10 25 Mar 2024

Looked like a bad one, I was sat in line with him. Made a challenge, landed and immediately realised it was bad and signalled 'sub' to the bench. I fear its a serious achilles tendon injury.

It was a very assured debut from Chapman. I know it's only one game, but he brought a much welcomed calming influence. New #1 for me.

New Trust Statement..

Thank the chuffing lord for that statement.

Voices of reason when many others are losing their mind. I hope everybody reads that and at the very least tries to take on board what’s being said.

The Football Club LLC - Plans for Rochdale
at 16:18 14 Mar 2024

Nicely presented.

But much like the WSH meeting output, it's lacking substance (though to be fair, TFC provided high level figures and terms in a previous communication, albeit in a reaction to WSH short exclusivity).

A glossy brochure is aimed at fans. It's a utopian wish list, not a plan. Most of the TFC comments have been aimed at fans. I'm a fan, but one that's full of scepticism, and my gut feeling is the TFC bid has nothing behind it. The 'pledges' don't stack up cost wise with the numbers they themselves provided publicly, not even close.

That said, the underlying offer should be evaluated against the WSH offer and any others.

Dale Trust Meeting With WSH LLC

Better still, just chuck us £2 million to tide us over. No share transaction required. That would be a massive gesture and just what we need at this point in time.

Agreed with most of that until "close the deal...".

While your points on urgency are spot on, we should be aiming to "close a deal...", which may or may not be the WSH deal.

"If a sale were to go through, then the ownership company would be revealed. It will not be WSH LLC."

I'm not alarmed by it not being WSH LLC as they did the same at MVV Maastricht with 'Dutch Soccer Holdings'.

I'm more interested in the running of the club. If MVV Maastricht have been well run on a sustainable plan with a future, which they appear to be, are the same people and plan going to be in place at Dale?

Completely agree with everything you've said there.

There may have been a lot more detail disclosed that is not for public consumption (yet), but there's some serious questions that remain unanswered.

There is clearly money there (I suspect not from family and friends this time) as Dutch Soccer Holdings are looking to purchase 90%+ of MVV Maastricht, but surely secured funding has to be in place for now and x years into the future.

I read it as a) funds are in place for the purchase and initial running costs, from investors who would be made public on completion, b) ongoing investment is required but not yet secured.
