I kept a close eye on Lamptey during the game on Saturday - expecting fireworks and everything good coming from him, or down Brighton's right.
Result - he was the most ineffectual player on the pitch, who didn't know whether to play a more defensive, or attacking role. Great work from our left side in Tella and KWP - bar a couple of decent runs, they totally thwarted Lamptey and the only surprise was that Potter didn't hook him sooner.
Like Tino, he will have better days ahead of him and perhaps he too has the weight of expectation on his shoulders at such a young age. |  |
