I understand that the Club’s PR department, as ever on the money when it comes to giving the fans relatable content, have filmed the following and are waiting for a suitable time to “drop” them:-

1. An interview filmed in Belgium with Tall Paul Onuachu, who describes how he is using his massive (mainly Saints-funded) salary to set up a stockbroking super-firm which is going to make hay in stock markets across Europe

2. An evening with Fast Kid, as he buys all the drinks in Buddha for the assembled masses

3. A trip with Super Sekou in his private jet, as he flies to Paris to visit his Mum

Looking forward to all of these.

The club have also had exclusive access to Hassenhutl’s first training session at Wolfsburg.

However, there are concerns that Ralph screaming repeatedly at the players “I am considerably richer than you, ja?” would be an even worse look than the Manning fly on the wall classic.

It’s not Manning, Mara, Sulemana, Onuachu‘s (the list goes on) fault they aren’t good enough, the fault lies in the recruitment team that brought them in.
As long as they give 100% whilst playing for the club is all we can ask.
Wether or not they decide to do that is down to them.

On the flip side well done for bringing in Lavia, Downes, Fraser and Harwood-Bellis in recent months.

Whatever happens between now and the end of May there’s going to have to be some deadwood gone and some reinforcements in.

Sports Republic, are you ready?

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.
Poll: Knowing what we know now, should we have sacked Hasenhüttl?

I understand that Portsmouth FC's PR department are locked in discussions with Pat From Poole, they are filming a series with John Portsmouth Football Club Westwood where everyday he will put pins in an effigy of a Saints player and then ceremonially burn it in a voodoo ceremony to try and hex Southampton's promotion hopes.

Pat is on the verge of signing up for 4 of these days and so far it is only money that is an issue as Pat can't afford to pay what they are asking to take part in the Manning day,

It's the other way round.

I asked for a donation to be made to a particular charity for my time, but they said that they don't believe in giving money to charities.

I suggested they instead speak with Monsieur Cent Trente, who seems to be the sort of oddball who would be up for that caper.

A spiffing fellow, though, Westwood. Although he did need to change his underwear and trousers 3 times in less than an hour as he kept pissing in his pants.

Since the new recruitment team…

The loan signings have been excellent.
THB, Brooks, Fraser, Downes, Rothwell.

Holgate not so.

The permanent signings
Charles £10.5m
Manning (free)
Stewart £8m
Lumley (free)

These are approximate fees.

Players bought - £18.5m
Players sold - £160m

WE MARCH ON

Hows are 3 permanent summer signings working out?

Nicks View
Manning - Great left back we owe the unbeaten run all to him.
Stewart - Sitting on the bench that one time means hes already paid for himself.
Charles- Im not sure what Nicks positive spin is here :-)

The rest of the fanbase
Manning - RM would rather play bree/stephens/kwp at left back, hes that bad.
Stewart - 10mill down the drain will he ever start a game? If we go up odds on he out on loan next season.
Charles - Another man city youth product we have spent a fortune on, that cant get a game during an injury crisis.

Poll: Has the Ross Stewart deal already paid off as Nick says?

They say Sarcasm is the the lowest form of wit lol

I Have never said that Manning is a great full back, all I have ever done is stuck up for him a bit, because he is far from being the worst player we have ever had and has played a part in our unbeaten run.

Stewart hasn't played much, but you never know what he might do in the future, Charles has put in some decent performances . at the start of the season we thought he would be a nailed on starter, however he has been in and out of the side too much to get an sort of consistency.

That great expert on football "The rest of the fanbase" achievements over the past 50 years have been so accurate some of those inspiring observations have included;

1975- Hounded Lawrie McMenemy at every home game throwing abuse and sometimes more at him as he walked along the touchline

1986-1989 - Barracked Tim Flowers as the worst keeper ever seen in a Saints shirt, who would never make it at the top level and championed John Burridge.

January 2023- Declared James Bree as a second rate League One player and only signed because he was Nathan Jones man.

Feb 2023- Declared Ruben Selles as the saviour of Southampton FC as he wasn't Nathan Jones, made up a song of praise about Ruben Selles which I just didn't seem to understand.

March 2023- Declared Ruben Selles as the most clueless manager since Nathan Jones and stopped singing songs about him

October 2023 - Declared James Bree as the saviour of Southampton football club at left back. as he was not Ryan Manning.

Just because the masses are in unison, it doesn't always mean they are right, lots of people are premature about a player or manager in either way and get it wrong.
