Striker 19:58 - Jan 21 with 1534 viewsrobcoe5

If today doesn’t show that we desperately need a striker, then nothing will
Although Adams tried and got stuck in, there was no support
We then take him off and we are as light as a feather,
As for bringing on Elyounoussi I knew we would get turned over, he offers nothing
Mangers subs were a mistake he ended weakening the team

Subs were naive.

But Bazunu didn’t cost us todays game and hasn’t properly messed up since Brighton I think, as we sure do need a striker a lot more than a goalie

Bazunu was poor today, did you see him kick straight to a Villa player, how we got away with that I will never know.

Bazunu got lucky today on more than one occasion. I actually wasn't too miffed when I thought Willy was about to replace him.

And he cost nearly 15 million, when we already had Forster. Mara cost 10 million. More on Larios Bella Kotchap. Another 3 million on a director of football but terrible strikers. You can see where the problem is - it's the idiots at the top.

Poll: After Nick's revelation, would you welcome back Danny Ings?

It's all very well saying we need a striker, who would want to come here? Anyone half decent will go else where, so we will gamble on someone no one has heard of who comes here because we offer a long contract and high wages.

Exactly. West Ham got Ings. Forest got Woods. Wolves signed a striker. The Saints owners are complete idiots.

It is strange not playing Orsic. He is an experienced player who scored goals in the World Cup. But I've said before, it's absolutely true that the managers are under pressure to play the young players because they want to sell them on for a profit.

Spot on, 100% correct - but of course, we are doing things 'The Southampton Way' namely running around low-balling various Clubs by offering £10m for players worth £20m ect, ect. Time to get the tablet of stone 'The Southampton Way' is inscribed upon and smash it into a thousand pieces with a large sledgehammer. Root and branch attitude overhaul is long overdue in the boardroom - every single supporter and pundit can see exactly what we need up front, the only people incapable of seeing it are the ones holding the purse strings, the (in)decision makers...

Not only that, but as the commentator doing the game live for those watching overseas mentioned, Orsic scored a hat trick against Spurs in European competition not that long ago.

Trying to get a goalscorer whilst bottom of the league is going to be some task. There was an american striker Haji Wright playing in turkey, that looks the part. But we're also up against Karl Toko-Ekambi a lyon striker who said, "Why would i want to get involved in a relegation battle ?"
