We can always be proved wrong and end up looking stupid but...
We had AA and Archer, plus Ross Stewart. Not fantastic but all 3 have scored goals at this level. I always thought if we make chances we'll take a fair few. Armstrong in particular does have a good record even though he misses plenty.
Letting both him and Archer go is ok if you have good replacements. No one would complain. But bringing in Larin looks a big gamble and the only other option is RS who has yet to complete 90 minutes.
If that is the scenario then it looks like terrible business and I don't understand at all.
I guess he might be good, and maybe we have someone in the u21's.
Im going against my own advice here to keep quiet until the window shuts . We won't know the facts til tomorrow morning. |  | | |

Every time we think, oh great we're finally getting rid of a poor player, Sport Republic replace him with someone who's even worse. Perhaps Larin would have been as good as Archer a few years ago, but injuries and lifestyle issues have clearly caught up with him. We're getting rid of players who were OK a few years ago, like Aribo, so we don't want more of them. [Post edited 2 Feb 12:24]

Your not counting 2022/2023 then when he was on loan at Mallorca for the second half of the season and scored 8 goals in 19 games.
Or24/25 in Spain when his 8 goals in 32 games looks good when you consider that only 21 players scored 10 goals or more in La Liga that season and only 26 players scored more |  |
