I've got some Rainer Werner Fassbender DVDs in the cupboard, I'll dig 'em out and watch tomorrow.
My wife will be thrilled.

Just struggled through the TV debate. I know it's about policies rather than personalities, but Starmer is wooden.
Say what you like about Blair but he had charisma and Brown had gravitas.

I took a white linen jacket into a shop that had Same Day Cleaning over the door.
Leave it with us, the bloke said, it'll be ready next Monday.
I protested it says Same Day Cleaning. Oh, that's just the name of the shop squire, he said.

They say most bands play the Clissold twice - once on the way up and again on the way down.
Can't wait to play there again….

I was at the doctor's this morning - he told me to watch my drinking.
So I went straight down to the Dog & Muffler and asked the Guv'nor to put a mirror behind the bar.

Labour will ban the import of foie gras. That'll cause a stir in Shepherds Bush which of course is now in the new constituency of Hammersmith & Chiswick.

There was a young man named Farage
Who spent quite some time in his garage
He always hated the French
They made his buttocks clench
But called the Beach Boys “ Les Garcons Du Plage.”

Years ago in the early days of CAMRA, I had a job that gave me Wednesdays off. I used this day as a Real Ale day and spent the day in various places within a train trip of London.
Portsmouth/southsea was a good 'un with Gales, Brickwoods and Burts with a trip on the hovercraft to IOW.
Happy, boozy days.

Just heard about a fish shop called “Oh My Cod!”
I have a mate who swears there was a shop called R.Soles and Co in Goldhawk Rd.
Any more ?

I never used the Vic in the old days as it was the hated Watney's.
But the western extremity of Hammersmith/S Bush has some cracking pubs.
Clive's beloved C&S being one.
I did a nostalgic crawl with a mate over from Oz recently:
Raven, Thatched, Prisoner of War (Prince of Wales), Andover, Askew (much changed) and The Duchess.
Marvellous!
Er, may not have been in that order - can't remember !

They say the earworm thing increases as you get older. I have catholic tastes and sometimes I can't immediately identify said peace of music for quite a time.

My guess would be……call it a benefit and it could be subject to cuts. That said there is the Triple Lock in place. Puzzling.

I was talking to a bloke in the pub once about Brian Wilson and I said “and, remember he writes the words AND the lyrics”
I don't think the penny dropped.
