With this being undoubtedly the golden age in terms of cash flow into Premier League clubs, should it be ensured that it is used to safeguard these clubs from future financial difficulties? The SKY deal seems to be getting bigger and bigger every year, but it is taken by players leaving the clubs and its fans with nothing. This is wrong on every level.
Not only are clubs now operating at a loss, quite amazing considering that each club now generates £100m+ per season, but football is at its mist expensive for the fans. With the club backed into a corner to charge such an amount in order to pay these ridiculous wages, demanded by players and agents knowing that clubs are getting more income.
Should this be the time for the FA to step in with a wage cap? Football seems to be on the verge of implosion and the recent figures from even our end do not make healthy viewing, something that should never happen with such an income. The almost doesnt seem a point in the increase in funds if it is just redirected to players wages that the club cannot bare without the continued funding - If players and agents are able to continue their free reign of legal blackmail then the clubs we love are going to be stripped bare. Im not sure how much longer this can go on. |  | | |  |

Always live within your means!, that's probably why we are having a hard time to buy players. The bubble will burst soon like Italian football a couple of decades ago. It seems more people are abandoning sky tv and using alternative methods(Kodi etc). I remember a few years ago paying Sky close to £100 a month, now i have got full package for just under £30 and I won't hesitate to cancel if I can't get the deal when my current one runs out. Im even eyeing up Sony Smart TV which come with the Android set up in preparation for cancelling Sky TV. [Post edited 22 Jan 2016 15:30]
