I would expect to see Ash & Tayls released back to us after the NI game. I don't think they'll be expected to travel to the Ukraine for a friendly with important PL games coming up. I would prefer to see them pull out of the squad altogether but I'm sure in the eyes of some Wales' Euro prep is just as important as Swansea's PL survival. |  | |  |

Hodgson wants to play with a creative attacking passer at holding midfield because he thinks England are good enough to control possession in games against half decent teams. Defending isn't a job requirement.
If they focused on playing on the counter like Wales they'd do really well with the players they have available. Cork would be great backup to Dier in that kind of system. | | | |
