I've never paid £3 a pint even in the centre. Average beer price last year was about £1.30. but it will be more now as the pound is f"cked

Around Zizkov I found the average around 32cr it's currently 31cr to the pound.
Most city centre places 40-45cr apart from the rip off joints.

I remember reading about 15 years back when I first visited that no Czech government would dare put up tax on beer since the public would not stand for it the opposition would be guaranteed to win the next election.

I was paying around 20cr a beer back in 2001 but the exchange was near 50/£ if I remember correctly so about 40p a pint.

If you see it give sedm Kuli (seven bullets) a try from one of the ferdinanda bars it's brewed in Besenov the home of franz Ferdinand who was shot 7 times to begin the 1st world war.
