Franky G tactics 16:16 - Sep 13 with 1081 viewssj_jack

As much as Sunday's line up was a surprise which didn't initially work,
The fact Frankie G saw it & changed it must be a positive.
I'm sure Neil T regrets being caught on camera being a plonker!

12 months ago, we wouldn't have changed the formation - stuck with it and got honked 4/5-0.

Still feel if you want success in this league, pace is key. We started Sunday with no pace.
Also, if we need a CM to take the ball in front of the CB, Leon's the man!
How many managers go through the cycle of not valuing Leon, then the penny drops!

Yes, we rode our luck in the 1st half - but the reaction was good.
Thought the crowd on Sunday was top notch.

I think we all know Leon is the man but unfortuneately he is not Peter Pan and will have to be replaced. Jack Cork as a defensive midfeilder was brought in to do that BUT Leon was never a DM Roberto used him to be able to play the ball out from the back...give the CBs a "close" outlet who could use his footbal brain to distribute the possesion tidily.
In time Leon has since been used to sit in between the CBs as a sweeper . Leon owes his success in this role to Roberto and his own football skills. FG and the coaching staff should now get Leon to coach Jack Cork in how the "Leon" role functions in the "Swansea Way" then maybe our "style" could return. It is not that Cork is useless he like any other "traditional" DM will play in a cewrtain way Leon was given a different role and has along the way developed it.

Poll: Will CCFC win a game this season?
