with that performance. The back four dealt beautifully with both the pacey attack of Vardy/Gray and the aerial threat of Slimani. Both goals came out of the back four, and Alfie is looking like a great player and leader.

The midfield was incredible as well. Doesn't Cork look more and more a useful player ever since Clement's appointment? And Leroy Fer. Really showed what he can contribute today. His physicality couldn't be matched by the opposition. Even against Ndidi, who is no slouch. I'd like to think Makelele is inspiring some of this form.

Great stuff all around. Only negative for me is Dyer's injury.

Agree with all of that. Shame for Dyer as he looked lively. It's obviously a bad one as he looked absolutely gutted.
