OUT WITH A DEAL EATING OUR CAKE AND LOVING IT suck it up remoaners

And like a typical anti democracy remoaner he decided the will of the people should be ignored the minute the democratic result was in total fecking hypocrite 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Despite it being voted in to law by the commons the spineless two faced remoaner MPs have totally abandoned any morals and decided to ignore the will of the British people.

It will be remembered and no election or referendum will ever be the same again in this country.

The one thing that will come is a massive surge in the popularity of UKIP or a similar party in the future who stand for the 52%.

Happy Days.

So Raab is now trying to peddle "It will be the EUs fault if we leave with No Deal". We know he's not the brightest (Dover!!) but the EUs fault. Yeah, right LOL. Surely people will see right through this.

The blame game has started !!!!

All quite predictable.

Yeah, i heard that on the today show this morning. He's clearly trolling us when he says that its the EU's fault that the UK will lose the benefits of membership when it chooses to cut all ties with it.

The truth is finally starting to hit those that peddled the unicorns, easiest trade deals, it hurts them more than us blah blah etc. And, after feeding those lies they are going to look rather stupid so have to start shifting the blame. Problem is, they've promised a lot of things to a lot of people in this country and basically created their entrenched positions.

God knows how this gets untangled in the short term. I wonder if we're going to start to see U turns, back tracking, lies to cover lies and and eventual no brexit.

No brexit is inevitable. It has been since before the referendum. We will never be allowed to leave.

Good afternoon HJ.

Ah, so you're a Raab believer?

Theres nothing stopping us leaving old bean. If/when we do...it will not, in fact it will be no where near what was promised. And the politicians know this, hence the comment of Raab. There will be more.

No it’s just logic. May’s deal will never get through parliament. The deal can’t be changed and no deal will never be allowed. The only logical eventuality is remain.

I can see your logic.

(Edit:) - Actually, i am not sure I agree with your logic as the EU are not keeping us in the EU 'They will never allow us to leave".

However, if remain is the outcome i reckon they will place the blame firmly on the EU in order to preserve their snout staying in the westminster trough rather than stand up be accountable for their actions.

The EU in't stopping us from doing anything. We're free to do what the fu(k we like.

But it won't compromise the integrity of the single market by accommodating non members playing by a different set of rules.

I agree. Expect an outpouring of statements blaming the EU for being intransigent and “not allowing us to leave”. The Frankenstein project ganging up on us for no reason other than spite. The gullible little Englanders will no doubt fall for the narrative hook line and sinker.

Who's stopping us?

There’s been a complete lack of political will to get it done from all sides. The EU want us to remain. The crack “negotiation” team of Theresa May and Olly Robbins wanted us to remain. Most of parliament want us to remain.

From the minute the referendum results came in the back tracking began. “We respect the result of the referendum but...”

It’s all been an utter charade from all sides. Complete dereliction of duty.

It was inevitable from the start.

I heard a Brexit-leave Tory M.P on Sky News saying that in his opinion there is zero chance of a 'No Deal' Brexit ever happening because it would never be allowed to get through parliament.

He also mentioned that Boris Johnson has a teflon ability to get away with absolute murder and would be the very prime minister (the only Tory prime minister) able to get a soft-Brexit legislated.

By going on what we've all seen and that Tory M.P's opinion your analysis of happenings so far does rather look to be bang on correct. It is indeed a charade because imo the Tories thought a winning remain vote at the referendum was a guaranteed win. Talk about Brexiteers throwing (rather forcefully) a spanner into the works.

Of course there’s a long history of referendums rejecting the EU being ignored. The illusion that any of us voters have any say in the governance of our lives has been well and truly shattered. A second referendum would be even more of a charade than the first as now we know for sure that only one of the two options will actually be honoured. If leave wins again we’d be asked to vote a third time.

Of course the EU would like us to stay in the EU, but they’re obviously not blocking us as we have the Withdrawal Agreement. There’s a high chance you could be right about us never being able to leave, but that’s purely a domestic issue, largely stemming from Brexit never being defined at the outset.

As usual the EU gets scapegoated when the problems are actually caused by us.

Boris Johnson voted twice against the withdrawal agreement until he changed his mind and voted for it.

So we know his position is unequivocal.

It's fair to say that at that point others who'd voted against also vote for just to get something done to enable Brexit to finally occur.

The problem with Brexit is precisely the fact that the result of the referendum and the debate that led to that result hasn't been respected. If it had been we would have had a soft Brexit back in March, leaving the Single Market but remaining in the Customs Union. This would have reflected the nature of the debate at the time of the referendum - which was almost entirely focussed on the immigration issue (including the fraudulent matter of the refugees and Turkey EU membership). It would also have reflected the narrowness of the result - entirely satisfying just about no-one, but pretty much everybody would have grumpily accepted that outcome, myself included.

This could still happen, as could May's deal (theoretically), or indeed a WTO hard Brexit. The EU would not stop either a soft Brexit or May's Brexit, and could not stop a unilateral hard Brexit. The only thing stopping Brexit from happening is that the Tories have refused to build a consensus/majority or are fearful of the consequences of a hard Brexit. These are choices that the Tories have made and are making - and they have exclusive responsibility for those choices.

Let's get one other thing clear. There is as much mandate for a hard Brexit as there would have been for Welsh independence after the devolution referendum. Anyone who believes that a hard Brexit is a legitimate outcome to the Euro referendum isn't a democrat - end of.

Yet Parliament voted to give the government the power to invoke Article 50 so that we could leave the EU.

The government then invoked Article 50 so that we could leave the EU.

Parliament passed the EU Withdrawal Act which repeals the previous UK legislation tying the UK to the EU.

The entire machinery of government has been working inexorably for the past three years towards leaving the EU.

The government negotiated a withdrawal agreement that, if passed, would have seen the UK leave the EU, including the single market, customs union, ECJ and all applicable treaties.

Apart from all that, your outlandish theory is clearly holding water.
