Wonderful country. Gdansk is my personal favourite city, been back four times. Poznan is a great place for a holiday as well.

Taking a family skiing trip to Poland in February - partly because it's cheap but partly because my mother's family are Polish and I've never been over before.

We've got a few nights in Krakow either side of 4 days skiing in Zakopane - can't wait!

It's cheap if you are coming from abroad, earning foreign wages. If you are Polish and work in Poland, however, the reality is not so great. We earn, on average, four time less than the Germans. Our currency is very weak and it's only going to get worse when we adapt the euro.
So yeah, Poland is cheap for those coming from countries who are more economically stable. For us the situation is difficult and getting worse every year.
