Jack might not be getting game time but what he will realise, if he didn't know already, was how much of a dogfight it is at lower league clubs where more senior professionals with a family and a mortgage are battling for one year extensions to their contract unlike the cossetted world of relatively low contact academy football.
In the vast majority of cases any lower league club in a relegation scrap let alone fighting to stay in the EFL will always go for experience.

No question about that, but getting out on loan and embracing a new experience of what life is like outside the structure of an ex-PL club and academy football will benefit him far more. After all, he is unlikely to get in the first team squad unless there are further injuries | | | |

If Grimes were to pick up an injury (or just need a rest) I'm not sure who else we have who can do that job at the base of the midfield. Fulton's proven he's not up to it, and I don't like the look of Wilmot as an option. | | | |
