Samuel Grandsir is a Cooper transfer target 09:48 - Jan 22 with 3646 viewsKeithHaynes

Monaco winger wants to stay in Europe and swans are in discussions with Monaco with a loan with option to buy. Quite a few people we know are confirming this as a genuine inquiry for him.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

That would be awesome, not only because hes a great player for us but because he is a leader on the pitch and is a great influence in the changing room.

whether true or not, can’t help but be reminded how many people called him a “mercenary” and questioned his attitude a few years back. makes you think...

He has earned over ten million pounds at Swansea City even through this pandemic. Yes, he has a mercenary attitude, but he has also given everything for the shirt, but up until two seasons ago the term mercenary was spot on.

OK I've changed it.

It is reported that Hourahaine is on £35k a week similar to MGW. There are Premier league players. Ayew is on £70k a week but that contract is going to end in June.

So what will Ayew be offered next season at 31-32 years old . Probably no more that £40kpw max unless he goes to sit on the bench at a super club like Marseiile or Spurs.

He might entertain £30k pw at Swansea £3m over 2 season covered from the sale of another player who might be stalling on a contract. He is a leader. You could imagine Cooper taking him with him if he moved on, like Martinez did with Scotland.

Wise sage since Toshack era

It depends on Ayew and what he wants.

Agree he is a leader and would be an asset in whatever division we are in next season as long as his wages are agreeable both for him and the club.
