FAW Chief Executive has been placed on gardening leave after a vote of no confidence by the FAW Council yesterday. Watch this space.

Seems an odd one on the face of it.

Looks like he lost the support of his colleagues. Maybe styles ?

Both national teams have no perm manager ... 🤷‍♂️
Covid impacting the grass roots game below Elite level.... 🤷‍♂️

With 2 Qualifications under his belt, its a strange one.

I would appoint that Laura McAllister as CEO.

Walesonline reporting its to do with appointing an ex post office director as head of people. He’s done a good job at the FAW.

I’ve been keeping an eye on this over time. There also seems to be a lot of jealousy from the old guard who sat on their hands when he came in waiting for him to fail. He didn’t and revolutionised many areas of the FAW, internally and externally. Sounds like he is the victim of a slow burning coup.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

It looks exactly like that from afar, Keith.

Lets hope we don’t get dragged back to the mad old, bad old days of Wales playing Orient as a friendly.

Ford appointed 2009.
Our golden generation started coming through with Bale debut in 2006.

Halcyon days indeed since then.

He certainly shook up the entrenched, outdated structure and moved the FAW into the 21st Century.

Before his arrival the FAW was being run by committee. Not exactly progressive.
