For many years, that's how we played. Pass, move, triangles. Make the opposition work, outfox them.
It's now hoof or 3 or 4 passes and lose it.
Our identity has completely gone.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

pass and move is what we teach 8 year olds these days. Its basic, but works. Cooper and/or our players seem to have forgotten how to do it.
Most of them.

Its not rocket science..we are too rigid the only ones that are not rigid and should be are Lowe and ayew they should work the area and run channels to give options to move us up the field but they constantly come deep getting in way most time, and we find we got nothing to hit, also when they come deep their defence can push out higher, which in turn closes the room further for our midfield our forwards should be pulling centre halves wide and swapping dragging players but just come so deep makes our job difficult and third easier

Maybe we should abandon geometry and go down the Algebra route. We could always try Trig though.

This way of playing was in the "Jenkinista era" . Jenkins picked managers to play like this and signings were made with this in mind. Efforts were made by buying players lke Tom Carroll to replace Britton then Mesa. Grimes, Byers, Dhanda, Celina and McBurney showed they could master this art under Potter.

Fans are responsible for its end by promoting and lobbying for the removal of Swansea greatest ever chairman via the Trust. The same Trust that has failed miserably to cash in while the club was in the Premier league. A no brainer if ever there was one. I susect they were just too lazy for the job required. Fans have shown them blind loyalty but may no be realising the error of their ways.

Neither Curtis nor Britton could replicate this track record and both have now left the club. Britton was employed specifically to provide continuation of this philosophy. Clearly for this to happen any incoming manager would need to point to a back catalogue of slick passing high possession performances over a number of seasons. Cooper talked the talk but had no such catalogue. It is unlikely Jenkins would have emplyed him.

All the architects of the beautiful game are gone. Coaches Tate and Olearly were very tidy players but left he sweet science to others. I hope the club will employ the remining sons of Brendan and Laudrup in Routledge to reinstall the principle alongside someone like Rangel who is another strong character and leader and "jenkinista dicsiple".

Wise sage since Toshack era
