| Welsh sports media 08:43 - May 18 with 3277 views | britferry | What a surprise... Nothing on the BBC Wales news at 8.30am, plenty on football though, giving advice to Welsh fans planning to travel to Italy & Azerbaijan this summer As for the so called "Wales Online", we do get a mention, which is more than Newport or Wrexham do but before our game yesterday, one of their main articles was on "Cardiff's promotion push" [Post edited 18 May 2021 8:56]

It is nothing short of a disgrace to be honest. If people stopped falling for Abbadonato's bait though I honestly think it would stop. He thrives on it.

I can’t understand why his employers put up with the unprofessional way he and certain others behave on behalf of a national newspaper. His latest attempts at disrupting this week for Swansea are pathetic.

"First used in the 1940s, the term “woke” has resurfaced in recent years as a concept that symbolises awareness of social issues and movement against injustice, inequality, and prejudice." Swansea fans appear to be part of this movement and taking it to new levels. BBC Wales 08:30 news did not mention Swansea citys win. Everyone is a victim. My bottom lip is still quivering with fury. (not). [Post edited 20 May 2021 13:19]

I’ve been banging on about this for at least 12 yrs and got told to ignore and not watch welsh sport media or read WOL . It is not the point ,which is this indsukts the city and people of the second city. It is open contempt for Swansea and it should be challenged as the Giv has done.Enomous credit for that

If this is true then the complainants can speak to Mitchelmore. He is the dedicated journo to the Swansea city cause. He will argue that the WoL is not biassed and this is something they clearly want to avoid. Lets face it many of their readership are west of Bridgend, WoL is tarred by assoiciation with the 'blue satan'. Getting rid of the WoL will get readers reading the English press which is generally right wing and anti Europe. The news will be that decided by the likes of Rupert Murdoch. Take a look at Sky Australia if you want to see what that is. You have been banging on about this for years because that is what you do as an 'Anglophone' Welshmanlocked in the thinking of the 1970s and 1980s. This generally includes denegrating all Welsh institions bar none. It realy does not matter what it is. BBCWales , ITV wales, FAW, WAG. It is the result of years of gaslighting, English press propoganda and second city syndrome. Only two Swansea chairmen got the team beating the big urban English giants on a regular basis. Malcom Struel (who had his car vandalised) and Huw Jenkins who has been accused (unfairly in my opinoin) of cheating the dozy SCST who simply did not network. I suspect their legal case is on the ropes and the 'no win no fee' is off the agenda.

Love Wales, love Swansea, love FAW, love the WAG, love BBC Wales love ITV Wales. It is ours and not bad at all. Not perfect by any means but Wales is not as corrupt as many many other places. The FAW is democratically elected as is the WAG. They are in between chief executives so may have missed one or two things. The USA had a big boxing indoor fight two wesks ago Canelo and BJS and boasted the world's 3rd biggest boxing crowd in hisotry full of Mexicans . 3rd behind Millienium / Principality Stadium. 1 and 2. Well done the WRU. Wales even beat the Mexican football team with their second string including the magnificent Cabango. I love that guy. I love the Western Mail. Been with me for 50 years and I am loyal. In have not notticed any bias. I must be less senstive. The BBC forget to mention Swansea city now and again. Swansea city forget to mention their u23 games especially those on Fridays and report on the match on Tuesday follwing. I can live with it. I can understand the distate for Cardiff city but do not let spill out to hatred of Wales and its institutions with unfair prejudice. Being anti racist and whatever phobias is based on the need to be fair and even handed.

Being in "love" often blinds you to the "loved" imperfections ,try being objective not sentimental you may have your eyes opened

"mention". That word again. What happens in a second city of a country is major news. Swansea is treated like a village in deepest Powys

Big news report on Swansea today. The riots made big news. Sometimes being out of the news is a good thing not a bad thing. No news is good news. Happy wesl fed people just going about their business. [Post edited 21 May 2021 12:55]

If it's bad news then it suits them. Hardly surprising . They'll do a special soon

Bad news always sell newspapers. Of course it suits them. It is not big news inEngland and the London press because it is not London or even England. I want my news from a Welsk perspective not an English one. Preferably a Swansea journalist trainined in Cardiff University.
