People who normally moan about Christmas are normally tight and grumpy.
Regardless that children don’t want certain things, it’s Christmas and spoiling children at Christmas is good.

No.
and
No.

Christmas is a commercial exercise which ensnares children and adults .

Christmas is the saddest time of the year when loss of loved ones is felt most and the theme to "enjoy" is overpowering leading to comments like yours. It is insulting to suggest all should indeed must enjoy this time of year. Manny many suicides happen at this time.
I reckon I went to 4 hangings and an overdose in my time.Chuck in the RTC fatals too and it's why not all love it . Get my drift now.?

Merry Christmas indeed

As a family we love Christmas, we have rules though, my wife and I have spending limits for each other. We buy token gifts to open on the day. We spend on our son but he gets as much of what he needs first, what he wants, if we can afford it he'll get it.

We decorate the house but only after December 1st but we don't go overboard. That's because OHL is partly right, the festive season is over commercialised, it is about businesses trying to con us into spending loads whether we can afford it or not. Also, OHL is right about tragedy, it increases at Christmas. Lonely, depressed people turn to suicide, crime increases as the crooks look for easy pickings at homes full of expensive presents and drink/drug driving increases too, as does death on the roads because of it.

We do spoil our son but we have always pointed out how lucky he is. we always remind him that many people have a miserable Christmas.
This year we have been talking about having a Christmas of giving rather than receiving, of volunteering to help the elderly.

PS, some people moan about Christmas, maybe it's because Christmas is a miserable time for them. Imagine being alone at Christmas, entirely alone and apparently nobody gives a toss? How miserable would that be. What about victims of domestic abuse, not much in a family Christmas for them to cheer.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

From what was said on the news today, ALL of us will be facing more restrictions, largely because of those who haven't and won't follow the rules.

Well done anti vaxers, covid deniers and non conformist types, you've brought it on all of us, I hope you are happy.

Actually I hope the police arrest those who won't obey the rules and a few days in a cell makes you think again. Our children are getting ill now, teenagers are seriously ill with this and people still think it's a conspiracy, a great reset or an excuse to take away our freedoms.

Agree Cat. Lock em up.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Kids are being brought up to suck into this commercial largesse.

They are targeted from September as regards xmas presents.

Millions struggle world wide and we waste money on presents the wrapping paper of which is of more interest to the kids.

I feel all who have lost family at christmas and are cajoled into being merry. If they do not they actually get pelters and get called names.

You really are a whopper, typical weak de masculated obedient clown. A reminder for you
It was the government that took away your freedoms, destroyed businesses and ruined the children's futures, NOT the un poisoned and NOT a virus. It is WEAK people like you that have got us in this mess, WEAK people like you who thankfully weren't around in the wars.

Ron can't help hate speech or personal attacks. he showed his true colours when he was too much of a coward to agree to meet face to face.

He's not worth bothering with.

But it 's God's work,Cat.
We seem to agree to disagree;Ron can't.We should help him and I have time to do so.

I have ,I do believe ,articulated what most believe now than that Xmas is now a filthy paragon of perverse filth where we actually encourage children to become avaricious and ungrateful.
Few kids are as grateful in our society over getting a new phone as kids in Africa are when they get running water. I have een toy basically binned within a day and the kids prefering the wrapping paper and tinsel to play with.

We also get those who have little to get into debt to pay for tut their kids dont NEED either.

One day,we will realise WHAT is important in life. Spoiling kids is good Just incredible. Ron need help and Im gonna give it to him.

Why do you have to keep on referring to what you dealt with when you were a Police Officer?

Who are you trying to impress?

It’s pathetic to read it.

No one is forced to join the police. If people can’t handle seeing some bad things, maybe they shouldn’t join in the first place. Same for nhs, military etc

He had no reason to be scared of me, he just had to be man enough to say it to my face. That he continues having a pop at me shows him for what he really is. A keyboard warrior with less spine than an earthworm.

That's my last word on him though.

Maybe you don't have a sense of duty to society.

Paramedics don't exactly enjoy blood, guts and entrails hanging out let alone children's body parts lying around a RTC ;they'll be dealing with this when you're having a drink no doubt, safe, while these people deal with stuff that you are not capable of.

And yet,you love Christmas.

The 999 services keep it safe for you to enjoy.

You are utterly ungrateful

Since when has the truth been hate speech.
I can't think of an alternative way to describe a weak de masculated obedient clown.
Apparently he has me on ignore anyway
