It's these advisers and consultants jobs that are the problem. How can 192 or 288 hours per year be worth 60k? That's 312 and 208 pounds per hour by the way. What advice is worth that much? Inside information probably, things that aren't supposed to be for public consumption yet but early knowledge gives a business edge. As well as the likelihood of advocacy in Parliament, Paterson won't be the only one guilty of this, he just was the only one caught this time.
