We did serious harm to our children and young adults who were robbed of their education, jobs and normal existence, as well as suffering damage to their future prospects.

| Britain got it wrong with covid: long lockdown did more harm than good on 12:00 - Jan 5 by RonaldStump | Anybody that thinks lockdown's do or did work are absolutely barking mad, as dull as the idiot in charge Bumbling Boris. Thousands and thousands of lives lost to suicide, undiagnosed illness. illness brought on as a result of lockdown. mental illness has gone through the roof and the future for our kids have taken a massive knock for a multitude of reasons. In years to come you will realise what absolute abhorrent mess this shambles of the last 2 years will turn out to be and how wrong a lot of people on this thread are. Unbelievable |
As opposed to the 100,000 of lives saved during lockdown and the introduction of vaccines in January 2021 which meant all vulnerable adults were double vaccinated towards the end of April 2021 when lockdowns started to be eased It is unbelievable that people still think it was safer to have no lockdowns be exposed to the virus and catching it was safer than having the vaccines.

Sweden Czechia Georgia in southern USA, and Czechia. Therese had different approaches. Sweden relaxed Georgia mixed and Czechia vigorous on masks etc Czechia 2.49m cases 36,326 deaths Georgia 1.9m cases 31,494 deaths Sweden 1.31m cases 15,310 deaths It has been in this sequence pre vaccine and post vaccine. The no lock down herd immunity approach might Suggest was best based on this mini test. Underlying halth of the locals cleartly an issue. Sweden is also colder so more suited to the virus transmission in theorey.

Sweden has many differences. Many live on their own and therefore don't mix in big families. they don't socialise in pubs like we do. If indeed it worked for them - I think the deaths of old ppl would suggest it didn't, wouldn't work here

Sweden has a population density of one twentieth of the UK so is hardly a comparable country.

Three totally different places, with different social structures, wealth and healthcare. Compare like to like and Sweden did very badly against Denmark or Norway.

Sweden is mostly an unpopulated wilderness. Urban density isn't wildly different to the UK.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |
