| Brentford on 20:19 - Feb 26 by STID2017 | Why do you believe that ? Swansea has always has a thriving local football league. Professionally we have produced many of Wales' greatest players and we are currently still drawing an average of around 16k at home ( depending on how accurate the figures are) and an excellent following away It always has been a hot bed of football Ask Trunds and Leon about the Total Football Centre they run at Mynnydbach. It is so popular it is often hard to get a pitch. Even walking football is thriving It is a real hotbed still |
Why. Is obvious. The indignation, the hurt, the shame of our Prem League relegation ,the acceptance of losing under Martin, the utter lack of belief we being at the top table. Just a start.

| Brentford on 19:50 - Feb 26 by onehunglow | Laird is not in the same class.Nowhere near. I have a soft spot for Burnley A small town ,a third the size of Swansea, really arse and fronting up. A real football hotbed which Swansea is not. |
Not a hot bed of football honestly , The Swansea senior league for example has been in existence for over 120 years and although not as big now as it used to be its still provides the opportunity for amateurs to play , the junior league which only started with a couple of hundred players back in the 1960's, now accommodates over 2000 boys and girls playing football . Making it one of the largest Junior Leagues in the Country.

| Brentford on 20:29 - Feb 26 by KeithHaynes | I recall a time when it was the biggest league system in the U.K. |
Even oldies like me are playing three times a week. The Saturday and Sunday leagues, children football, women's football, veteran's football, as well as many ad hoc friendly matches taking place. So still hugely popular

Not support wise ,no. Given the population we should be having 30k plus crowds in a 35k stadium. There is nothing at all to compete with Swansea City for miles. We went bust in the 80s and nobody ,especially Swansea Council cared much. We fell out of the Prem and few are that upset. As is obvious on here because too many believe we dont belong at the top table. So,no hotbed at all
