Becasue the vast majority of homes destroyed by our action in Syria and Afghanistan belonged to terrorists. I wouldn't want a terrorist living with me. Plenty of genuine asylum seekers have, quite rightly, been giving homes in this country
However a complelety innocent person living in the city of Mariupol (I'd guess most residents are completely innocent) , who's entire city has been laid siege to by foreign invaders to the point of not even having water to drink, would be welcome to stay in my spare room. |

We damaged Iraq and the second Iraq war can't be justified, but in no conflict since the second world war have we done anything remotely comparable to what Russia are doing in Ukraine. Even then a comparison is tenuous.

That is highly debatable and to repeat Scotia, very many people left their countries because of rogue governments and terrorists. Many thousands fled the Taliban and as we can see in Afghanistan now, they had good reason too.
In Iraq they had things good in a fair few respects but still Hussein was murdering his own people and in large numbers.
