Went to see them in Singleton Park in 2019. I kinda hoped that given it was the 20th anniversary of the Morfa gig they would skew towards the first two albums.
No such luck.
They've lasted a long time and good luck to them. They've not released an album even remotely decent since 1999 though. The odd good track here and there but that's about it. |

The Spice Girls sold about 40m albums. Doesn't mean a whole lot in terms of quality does it?
I liked the first two Phonics albums very much. It's just a shame that they couldn't maintain that level of quality in their songwriting other than the odd track here and there. |  |

The first two albums were excellent. Even though the lyrics in some songs are complete garbage.
I've got nothing against them but if they weren't Welsh and didn't do songs pi$$ed people can sing along too they would never sell out the principality, and certainly not for two nights.
Apaprently they've made themselves available to play Glastonbury every year since 2017 and haven't received the call. That doesn't surprise me, they're living on past glories. | | | |

Saw the Manics supporting the Killers in Bristol they were ok but not a patch on the Killers but i guess that was why they were the support act. | | | |

I would say, the best band to come out of wales would be Budgie. Phonics, have some good songs, but they tend to be very similar as if they haven't progressed. The Manics, did seem to have more variety. | | | |
