Benda is a better keeper than Hamer and Fisher but Russ wants more than a keeper.
But you could argue his distribution was as good as both.
He paid for a couple of mistakes early on when nobidy really understood the system.

I don’t blame him on Cheltenham or Exeter. Portsmouth were getting argumentative by all accounts.
Give him a season somewhere in league one he will do well.
