He’s only had two decent seasons in high level football and he spent hundreds of millions to bring his own players in. People only tend to remember the latter part of his Brighton reign, but even including that he won less than 1 in every 3 games for them (31.1% win rate).
To put that into perspective, Russell Martin had a higher win ratio than that in last years disaster showing.
He’s decent in my opinion, but vastly overrated. Nowhere close to the likes of Brendan or Roberto and don’t see him being able to meet and sustain expectation levels of a club such as Chelsea for a long period of time. |  |
