It was always a Ponzi scheme it had no actual value and did not create anything of value.
Some well known financial analysts still reckon that it will be the currency of the future and it will reach £100k a coin within the next few years, and as high as 1 million a coin at the start of the next decade. Trust them at your peril.

Whether it’s Bitcoin or not, I can see some form of crypto becoming a de facto global currency at some point.
