Yes, if he was our talisman. He’s not, he’s a squad player. Coventry started Bidwell against us and had Latibaudiere on the bench. Hull and Milwall are in the top six with Kyle Joseph and Luke Cundle playing regularly. These are just players I know of at top six clubs who we’d probably put in the ‘not good enough if were serious about promotion’ bracket, there are probably plenty more who I don’t. Every club will have them. |

He’s a squad player who’s played really well recently and deservedly forced his way into the team. It wouldn’t be a surprise if Stamenic starts ahead of him next week. He’s not the limit of our ambitions |

We lost that because our striker, who has been brilliant all season, missed two open goals and our captain gave away a ludicrous penalty. That’s ignoring the header he should have scored from. Matos can’t do anything about any of that. He can set us up to press, to probe, he can pick the team and make the substitutions, but he has no influence over Cabangos handball or Vipotniks chances. Had you posted something like that after the West Brom game when we’d gone 2-0 up and surrendered the initiative, I’d have agreed with you. When we actually play well and lose due to freak occurrences, it comes down to people moaning every time we don’t win, regardless of what they’ve just watched |

See the conversation about Fulton and Grimes not being suited as midfield partners. Grimes played virtually every minute for seven seasons. Have to admit, I always thought Fulton was better than we were seeing, but didn’t think he was as good as he is now proving |

I don’t think we’ll bring another right back in after Ward. Striker to cover Vipotnik should be a much bigger priority. Matos seems to be easing him back in slowly, which seems sensible to me. If it’s confidence, it only takes one good game to skyrocket that |

What I will say, is last season we wouldn’t have even been talking about those as chances, as he’d have been a couple of yards and a second behind play. People would have criticised Tymon or said we don’t get crosses in. Quite similar to Burgess’ two own goals against Ipswich, it was just really bad luck. He made perfect runs and Tymon picked him out beautifully both times. |

We did. While we played well at Coventry and Stoke, I thought both those teams were better than us and deserved the win. That wasn’t the case at all today. First half was a mental penalty, two missed sitters and wonderstrike. Second was like one of those 5/10 minute spells we have where we keep the opposition pinned in their final third, but we kept it up nearly all half. They did have chances on the break, but I thought we probably deserved to win, let alone draw. |

We do drop off dramatically when our starting eleven start to tire. But we’re sixteenth because we were so poor under Sheehan. We’re fourth in the form table over the last ten games We’re eighth over the last six (one point off being fifth) We’re doing well under Matos, though I accept our away form isn’t where it needs to be |

Probably Bens last chance at a World Cup too. Devastating for him and for us |

That’s what I’m saying. They weren’t at all compatible but both played due to lack of competition and it didn’t do either of them any favours. On the occasions Allen was fit, they both looked better. Last couple of games, particularly Birmingham with Franco and Widdell a bit further up allowing Fulton to play to his strengths, he’s looked really good. At the start of the season, I thought he’d be slowly phased out, but he more than merits his place at the moment. |

His biggest problem for years was that him and Grimes just weren’t compatible. Neither players fault, their playing styles just didn’t suit each other, but played together for a long time due to lack of options. Grimes looked better when Fulton didn’t play and Fulton looks better now Grimes has left. He’s been one of our best players the last few games. |

First three points I agree with 100% I’m not sure on the drunkenness. People who want to get annihilated can do it before the game anyway. Violence isn’t the issue it used to be, though drinking in the stands could lead to isolated bouts of handbags. Probably linked to the obscuring views by going back and fore to the bar/toilet Overall I agree with you, leave it to the rugby. |

We need pace. Particularly when we’re a goal up after an hour and the opposition start pushing us back |

Felt slightly surreal going into the last few minutes with no tension. If we could make a habit of putting teams away when we’re on top, we could end up having a decent season |

I didn’t think we were at our best yesterday, but that’s what it’s all about. Putting teams away fairly comfortably while not in top gear. That’s the difference Matos has made. I thought Blackburn were a pretty poor team, but they did press aggressively in numbers for short spells. That may have been enough to get them a point against a Sheehan or Williams team |

In fairness, pretty much all the objections are around people getting up and down constantly, spilling beer etc Anyone who has been to a six nations game will know how regularly those type of things happen and how annoying they are. But the ban is in place to prevent fans getting tanked up and fighting. I do genuinely think we’ve past that point now and while I don’t want to see drinking in the stands brought in, I’m not sure the actual reason it’s banned is valid anymore |
