Sad if this the demise of the amatuer game , regardless of your views on rugby , any sport which gets kids off their backsides and creates a community spirit has to be for the good .When you see the state of the senior football league in Swansea and now perhaps rugby going the same way then we are truly heading for a sedentary future which is not good news for the health of this country

Watched first game of rugby in a while yesterday with Ospreys/Scarlets and thought was I watching a documentary about a referee. The referee wasted more time explaining his decisions than actually seeing a game of rugby in motion. What a horrific sport now to watch with stop/start/stop affair. I won't be watching another game for a while, the sport needs major revamp.

Even when you know, you never know?

Very good point. I watched it too as it’s Swansea .
It’s typical of an old fart like me but I wish they just let the front rows sort it out between then

Wow, that is something else, another step to making it the same rules as rugby league

You don't get that in Rugby League, a far simpler game, therefore it flows better.

Union +old follow much in League.
The fact a team can spend five minutes protecting a narrow lead at the end of the game simply by mu+king about at the scrum is damning.
At every scrum that is retaken ,the clock should stop.
Kickers allowed 30 seconds to take a shot at goal.

As for the full backs kicking up into the air hoping for somebody to drop it ….!

I watched both the Derby's Dragon's v Blues was a cracking game, Ospreys made hard work of the game, Scarlets played their part, but I enjoyed both games, more so the first as I had an emotional interest in the 2nd game.

RU has pinched a lot off the game:
the defences
false runner attacks
cross field kicks
restarting from under the posts
50 : 22 kicks
now a 13 man game

the sooner we bring in their scrums, the better
