Because there are far too many people in this country who think they can have something for nothing. It’s a great idea maybe the scroungers could become litter wardens might give them a bit of pride in themselves & their community. The looney lefties believe we have a money tree in this country.

Great post, we are far to soft in this country, why shouldn't some of these long term job shy, have to do something for their money

Surely that's the easy answer though, regardless of who is picking litter up, it should not be there in the first place.

I honestly think if this was proposed then the litter would get 10x worse, you imagine all the people now who dispose of litter anywhere, what do you think would happen if they knew there was an army of unemployed people clearing up after them?

Instead of employing wardens to penalise and raise money for the govt, just employ them to actually pick up any litter they see
