If our valuation is met he goes if not we play him from February. Being reported that Rangers are about to put in a 3rd bid. The threat to play him tomorrow is a ploy to get Rangers to up the bid looks like it's worked. [Post edited 20 Jan 2023 9:13]

Do not count you chickens. Swansea are being told how great he is and will put a high price on him. The owners in my opinion want to see him play. The deal line has been given no negotiations. That is the price the T minus 24 hours.

Yes I think that's the plan as well. Then hope that we accept the low offer in the final week. They have just signed Todd Cantwell as well he has had a fall from grace was getting looked at by Spurs not so long ago. But his wage won't come cheap so trying to get Whittaker on the cheap.

The best bluff is one that you are prepared to go through with Martin himself said he wanted it sorted this week. If he is not sold by Saturday he is staying and hopefully playing. Lets hope it is £3m, If Martin and co rate him at £2m-£3m then Marin must rate Cullen as higher than that as Martin did not want to bring him back. Martin also said he as not bought back to be sold. I will be impressed if Martin puts him on the bench and brings him on after 70 mins. If he stays on the bench and Swansea lose I would not be impressed at all. I belong to the open mind give the man at least until the end of the season school. [Post edited 20 Jan 2023 16:26]

| New face in the Swansea line up against QPR ? on 00:07 - Jan 20 by ReslovenSwan1 | I may be wrong but i suspect the "ownership group" want to see Morgan W playing for Swansea. They cannot force Martin to play him. Jobi McAnnuf says he is a potential top top player. Double top means England potential to me. I am not sure in McAnnuf is a great football thinker or just a smart suit and on TV to attract a female audience for photogenic reasons. How does the ownership group get him on the field.? a) Bring him back from loan b) Refuse to sell him by putting too high a price on him c) Refuse to buy a new striker winger, d) Have quiet word with Mr Winter to have word with Josh to have a word Gilly to have with Russ. If he is as good a Jobi says then Swansea have on their hands a top top player on less than £5k a week for this season and two more. Notionally as good as it gets. Then again perhaps McAuff said te same about Francis Jeffers or Ben Woodburn. |
What the chuffing hell as that got to do with my post

Why buy a striker when you already have one, he would thrive in this side. And his value will rocket. IMO of course.

We will find out Martin's bottle tomorrow . If he has none then he is not the future for Swansea city. Huw Jenkins did not bluff and was out of a job the following morning. He turned his phone offafter the dealine had passed on Dan James while the Leeds people went behind to other in the ownership group. . Martin clearly stated if the deal is not done p.d.q. he is staying. One Talent scout compared MW to a young Rihad Mahrez. MW is exactly the type of young talent Swansea need to develop according to the club principles. From Football fancast. ""Talent scout Jacek Kulig described him as a “flamboyant winger” and also compared him to Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez, so Beale could unearth his own £60m gem by signing Whittaker this month"".
