The signatures of two key players have been mentioned on more than one occasion this season, one is Ryan Manning and the other is Joel Piroe. Now, there was a time when annual figures compared Europe's biggest clubs, in terms of their match day revenue, broadcast rights and commercial sources. 0 As it stands, click above.

No problems with that. There should be certain expectations or conditions that some of the money must be spent on infrastructure rather than just lumped into the playing budget. It'll disappear quickly enough in there. It's easy to overlook just what a remarkable and unique thing the English League system is. Five fully or mostly professional divisions with some teams even at the lowest levels capable of pulling in 10,000+ crowds. Hell, the winner of the lowest division apparently pulled in bigger viewing figures globally for one match shown on ESPN than a couple of Premier League games. Admittedly with a bit of extra Hollywood hype attached but still. It has to be protected and sustained. Can anyone even name a Spanish or German fifth tier club without Googling? | Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

On Season Tickets; I was amazed Wrexham charged more than us. £50 more than ours but given running costs and player wages that is a significant figure. We probably have the cheapest STs in our league given there are only two adult prices (South cheaper than the East and West) whereas most other clubs seem to have a range of prices with some seats significantly more expensive. Money is tight and, given the rules on overseas players and EU worker rights removed EFL qualifying players are in shorter supply and can command higher wages. What gets my goat is fans claiming they won’t renew STs or watch games because if the lack of investment or because an American doesn’t watch games. If we all took that approach we would have, wouldn’t deserve to have, a club. The reality is these owners have put more into Swansea City than any other in our history. OK, it may not be enough for some who believe our rightful place is in the top division but if their answer is to further reduce club income then all I can say is they probably won’t be attending when we are back in League 2 or National League. |
Wrexham season tickets - simple supply and demand. Plus they get more home games than we do. | | | |
