Was it just my imagination or did a Hull city player pick up the ball while it was still in play and get a free kick for it? There was no refs whistle until after he picked it up?

Yes there was. In front of the west stand. Ref didn’t know what to do so took east option and gave foul. Which it probably was but he hadn’t blown until the ball was picked up. |  | | |

Ref was influenced by events that were quite bewildering on Saturday, he gave a hand ball against Cooper because the home crowd, as one called for the only obvious handball by the Hull player, the ref must have heard the crowds plea to give it and he got it so totally wrong as Cooper's hands didn't get anywhere near the ball. | | | |
