Players gagged by Swansea City 13:47 - Dec 9 with 5607 viewsKeithHaynes

FLW : Often, when a manager gets sacked, players will pay tribute to their manager on social media, and thank them for improving their careers and for the memories they made together. This was seen at Sunderland recently, with Amad Diallo taking to social media to pay tribute to Tony Mowbray, who was also sacked on Monday night.

So, what’s the Swans excuse ? I can tell everyone from a personal viewpoint that the staff and players are being told no interaction or else !

They really don’t enjoy fans asking about an account that nobody knows what’s in it, who is in it, and why is there no transparency. Especially the Chairman’s investment which nobody knows about.

Ask Nigel Morris.

It won't go away, we will keep questioning and we will be here long after they are gone.

You are questioning the detail of an company which owns the major part of Swansea city. Swansea fans are business partners of this group via the Trust. The other owners can simply tell the fans the set up of their company (70-80% owners of Swansea city Football club) is none of their business.

The main players involved are well known and publicised. All have visited Wales and some permanently based here and one spent several months here. Their objectives have been made clear.

What is it, in particular, you want to know and for what purpose? Personally i have no use of this information. Whether Coleman has invested £1m or £5m into he club via the ownership group is neither here nor there to me.

Any information given to fans will simply be used to criticise them. Fans eyes should be on the organisation they run themselves.

This organisation is committed to decline and shrinkage as it intends to do nothing other than accept a fixed passive 5% holding. This is the result of the catastrophic failure to put their shares up for sale in the 2015-2016. They are being killed by inflation and dilution.

You may have no use of the information, but clarity is necessary to comply with EFL regulations. I am not saying that they have not provided the EFL with the details, I sincerely hope they have, but provide the supporters with the same information. The regulations do not only cover the initial purchase but ongoing financial affairs and investments into any club. The devil is in the detail and how it is interpreted. Although the decision makers currently own the club, history has shown this is never long term and supporters are here long after owners have passed through. Yes for clarity we should know the shareholding of each director, what is there to hide.

This may give posters some clarity in the EFL rules regarding club ownership and directors. The publication of ownership section may be of interest in particular.

Yes people like Keith, myself and others will continue to question and probe, it is for the long term benefit of the club, there is no justifiable reason why not to do it. None of their business just does not cut it.

I suggest to you they certainly have provided the EFL with whatever data is required. I have not read anything that suggests they have fallen foul of the rules. They are now in their 7th year. All corporate obligations fulfilled. The club's record in corporate governance has been exceptional since 2002.

You want to know details of a private US company for clarity. What for? The basic details are well known. They may even be known by the Trust. You do not need to know.

It is a pity people like you do not question and probe the organisation of fans that own 10% of the club. The Trust.

How are they mitigating the effects of inflation. Currently around 7%.?
What can they legally do to invest their money.?
Is the reason they do not invest (for whatever reason) the reason for not selling shares?
Is the model suitable for a successful club.

I have probed these questions and got no answers.

"All Clubs must publish on their website details of the directors and/or persons (directly or indirectly, legally or beneficially) that own 10% or more of the Club."
This is also referenced in detail in other areas of the EFL regulations.

I just question if grouping a number of directors together in a 70% holding is detailed enough to meet the regulations, as all directors holding over 10% must be listed with details. As stated in the other regulations it must be continually updated at Companies House and the club website. I think we fall foul here as does an accountant friend. I sincerely hope we are wrong.

As for the Trust they are accurately listed on the club website and Companies House.

They also had professionals who chose our last manager and bought our summer signings. It doesn't fill me with confidence.
