"Maliq Cadogan's stoppage-time winner completed Swansea City Under-21s’ comeback to beat Professional Development League South leaders AFC Bournemouth in a thriller at Landore Training Ground."

"On a dramatic night, the hosts had opened the scoring with Cadogan netting his third goal of the season, the forward calmly sending a low-shot into the bottom corner."

"But the Cherries would hit back either side of the break to lead thanks to a curling strike from Balraj Landa and a close-range finish from Max Kinsey."

"Substitute Glory Nzingo levelled matters inside the final six minutes to set up a tense finale."

"Then, with one minute remaining in stoppage time, Cadogan got his second of the night to snatch the three points and send the Swans up to second in the PDL South."

Has something changed in the u21 set up or could it be that as youngsters seem to be getting into the first team squad it has spurred players on to believe there is a route to the first team if they apply themselves more?

They have had a period of stability and game time. Local players like Bates and Joe Thomas have come in and some the players have improved having stepped up for the u18. Kyren Wilson and Lissah for example. Liam Smith has added class to Congreve, Lloyd and Cotterill who had 6 months at Stockport Co.

Cadogan looks a tricky fast player and seems to be developing. Sam Parker has jumped above the other candidates straight into the first team having this season come out of the u18. He like Wilson has a long term injury. Abdullah was the star man last season and I see him replacing Fulton soon. The club finally releases Rushesha who was around the club for years but was dogged by injury and went to Reading where he seems to be injured again.

Glory Nzingo stepped form u18 up and looks like a forward player. Under contract ot 2026. I think he replaced Iwan Morgan who was a big loss. Goeff Bony also left last season and he played alongside wilson in the u18s.
