It may well be a huge sigh of relief from both Swans head coach Alan Sheehan and his assistant Darren O’Dea. However, questions were still being asked after a second half performance bar a wonder goal from hitman Vipotnik that resembled so many this season. That isn’t to say anything other than if Sheehan gets the criticism for losing then today he gets the plaudits for winning. 2

We take our striker off around that time every game and so do all of our opponents. It’s a consequence of nine on the bench and five substitutions. Rugby teams have been doing it with their front rows for years.

League cup may be a bit different, but we’ll do it at Charlton and they probably will too.

Keeping him on to get a hat trick is nonsense, it’s not a testimonial. Keeping him on because we weren’t creating anything and he was more likely than Idah to score in the last twenty minutes is a completely different viewpoint and one I can get behind.
