What the hell was all that about today?
2pm stood outside SAR and the handful of people are all getting frisked going in. These people are probably the least likely to be rabble rousers.
At 2.30pm on Ellerslie when we went in it is of course impossible to frisk everyone because there's hundreds of people going in at once, but stewards were still pulling as many as they could aside.
Why?! It's annoying enough being treated like a criminal at away games, don't need it at home as well! |  | | |  |

Not seen this done here for a couple of seasons.

I went to the Wrexham game, sat in the Upper Loft and me and my 18 year old son were patted down going in. My 21 year old daughter wasn't because they didn't have a female steward.
Always happens away but first time I can remember it at home (I only get to a couple of homes games a season). |  |

A few games ago a steward came up to frisk me at a turnstile into the East Paddock. I asked him what was going on and he said they’d been told to do this to everyone . I then pointed out to him that at the next block of turnstiles, all of fifteen foot away, nobody was being checked. He then called over the supervisor who couldn’t answer why I was being checked and nobody at the other turnstile and he just said if I didn’t comply I couldn’t get in. So after a half hearted pat down I went in. Since then no more frisking including yesterday. [Post edited 15 Feb 13:11]

this drives me nuts, a copper frisking me but stewards? i mean if there is a punch up they won't do anything unless they started it!
they go down the route, i assume , it's private land and they can frisk/search like night clubs
but if you want to get drugs or weapon in and had the intent to do it, you will. unless they use sniffer dogs and metal detectors. | | | |

Surprised proper checks aren’t more common or even mandatory nowadays for something serious rather than making sure you don’t bring a bottle cap in. Always thought a lowkey football match would be an easy target for a terror attack. | | | |
